How to Make Perfect and Juicy Steak


  1. Bone-in rib eye – 1/2 kg
  2. freshly crushed black pepper – to taste
  3. Extra virgin olive oil – 6 tbsp
  4. Garlic cloves – 3
  5. Rosemary – 1 sprig
  6. Thyme – 1 sprig
  7. Salt – to taste
  8. Butter – 1 tbsp


  • Rub 1 tbsp of oil both sides of steak.
  • Then apply pepper on both sides of steak.
  • Heat grilled pan with medium high heat until very hot.
  • Add 2 Tbsp of oil on the grill or pan and place the steak in the pan, allow it to cook on one side for 2-3 min without moving or poking the meat.
  • During cooking add chopped garlic.
  • Take the sprigs of rosemary and thyme, wrap the ends with aluminum foil to keep them together and use them as a brush to brush the oil on the steak while it is cooking.
  • Now change the sides of steak, brush with olive oil, then add the salt and cook side.
  • After 2-3 min flip the steak over again, add salt that side as well, brushing all sides with the herb brush of olive oil.
  • Lower the heat, add the butter to the top of the steak, and let it melt as the steak cooks to your preference.
  • Cooking time will be depend on you, how well done you like the steak to be.
  • When the steak is cooked, remove from pan to a board or plate and allow the steak to rest for approximately 5 minutes.
  • Slice and serve with steamed vegetables and salad.
