How to Make Perfect and Juicy Steak
Ingredients;
- Bone-in rib eye – 1/2 kg
- freshly crushed black pepper – to taste
- Extra virgin olive oil – 6 tbsp
- Garlic cloves – 3
- Rosemary – 1 sprig
- Thyme – 1 sprig
- Salt – to taste
- Butter – 1 tbsp
Method:
- Rub 1 tbsp of oil both sides of steak.
- Then apply pepper on both sides of steak.
- Heat grilled pan with medium high heat until very hot.
- Add 2 Tbsp of oil on the grill or pan and place the steak in the pan, allow it to cook on one side for 2-3 min without moving or poking the meat.
- During cooking add chopped garlic.
- Take the sprigs of rosemary and thyme, wrap the ends with aluminum foil to keep them together and use them as a brush to brush the oil on the steak while it is cooking.
- Now change the sides of steak, brush with olive oil, then add the salt and cook side.
- After 2-3 min flip the steak over again, add salt that side as well, brushing all sides with the herb brush of olive oil.
- Lower the heat, add the butter to the top of the steak, and let it melt as the steak cooks to your preference.
- Cooking time will be depend on you, how well done you like the steak to be.
- When the steak is cooked, remove from pan to a board or plate and allow the steak to rest for approximately 5 minutes.
- Slice and serve with steamed vegetables and salad.
Excellent flavor! I prepared it the night and keep in the fridge before going to work. It was ready when I got home! Excellent!
