Spicy Nihari By Shireen Anwar

How to Make Spicy Nihari By Shireen Anwar recipe,

Ingredients:

  1. Bong meat – 1 kg
  2. Beef bone – 1
  3. Ghee or oil – 1 cup
  4. Onion – 1 sliced
  5. Ginger garlic paste – 2 tbsp
  6. Salt – 1 tbsp
  7. Red chili powder – 1 1/2 tbsp
  8. Nihari masala – 4 tbsp
  9. Yogurt – 1/2 cup
  10. Chappati flour – 4 tbsp
  11. Fresh corinader – 2 tbsp
  12. Ginger flakes – 2 tbsp
  13. Green chili – 4 chopped
  14. Lemon slices – 4

Method:

  • Take a pan, add ghee or oil and fry onion until light golden brown.
  • Then add ginger garlic paste, beef, bones, salt, red chili powder and nihari masala, mix and fry well.
  • Then add yogurt and fry.
  • Now add 10 cups of water, cover and cook for 1 hour on low heat.
  • Then mix chapatie flour in 1/2 cup of water and make thin paste.
  • After 1 hour add this flour mixture in nihari and stir continuously until all flour mixture is mixed well.
  • Now cook another 15 minutes. Check consistency you need.
  • When nihari is done, garnish with fresh coriander, ginger flakes and green chilies.
  • Serve with ginger flakes, lemon slices and naan.

Ingredients for nihari masala:

  1. Fennel seeds – 3 tbsp
  2. Cinnamon sticks – 2 to 3
  3. Big cardamoms – 2
  4. Green cardamoms – 6
  5. Black pepper – 12 tp 15
  6. Dry ginger – 1″ piece
  7. Mace – 6 pieces
  8. Nutmeg – 1/2 ” piece
  9. Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
  10. Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Add all above ingredients in grinder and grind well
